Trip Guru Day Tour: Ubud, Bali

I went to Bali for two weeks over New Years and about a week in we decided to do a day tour of Ubud, which was probably the highlight of my whole holiday. If I go back to Bali I’ll definitely stay in Ubud for longer, as it’s so beautiful and there seems to be so much more to do there.

We did our day trip with Trip Guru and it ended up just being us two and this other lovely lady in her 50s. So it was practically a private trip, and it only cost us about $30 AUD each. (The equivalent of about £15, for a 10 hour day trip.) I’d highly recommend!

    Our whip for the day…

    1st stop: Batik Factory

We went to a beautiful fabric printing factory where they showed us all their designs.
Cannot explain the level of talent between these women and men.

2nd stop: Traditional Balinese Dance Performance

We went to see a traditional Balinese dance performance and obviously Jack was dying for a pic with one of the stars.

3rd stop: Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary Ubud

The monkey forest was amazing, even if we did see one money chuck someone’s passport down a waterfall.
Quite clear which of us is more interested in this friendship.
Maaaad bridges and architecture in the monkey forest!
    Look at that little tongue.

    4th stop: Tegallalang Rice Terrace

5th stop: Holy Spring Water Temple

    6th stop: Luwak Coffee Factory

Best selection of coffees, teas and hot chocolates! Some of the coffee was made out of monkey poo and it was actually lush.

    7th stop: Tegenungan Waterfall
